Winter Preparedness

Last winter, many elderly in Big Sandy were without power on the coldest days due to intermittent outages scheduled by the power company.  As crisis relief/counseling and disaster preparedness/response are Alpha Omega’s signature services, this winter, Alpha Omega volunteers delivered blankets and supplies to elderly homebound people in Big Sandy to help prepare for the winter’s coldest days.  People were very excited and relieved to have these much needed provisions!
