A Short Sermon by Brother Greg
Hebrews 13:15-16
A change of season is coming. Flowers will soon bloom, and we will be busy laboring with all the routine summertime activities (a sacrifice we are willing to make as we break from the cold winter months). A Child of God must "continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God." Note how: "by Him," through Christ! The Lord deserves our praise. A person cannot approach God through any other sacrifice, person, or religion--not even to praise Him. God accepts no praise by any other means than through the Lord Jesus Himself.
John 14:6 says, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Remember, as we work our way toward the busy summer, "the fruit of our lips" is to give thanks in all that we do. To accomplish this, we must be full-time children of God, continually offering the sacrifice of praise. There is no such thing as "some-a-time" I'm a Christian, and "some-a-time" I'm not. The busyness and fun of the summer events should not cause us to stray from an intimate relationship with the One who created all seasons. Praise God with passion, intimacy, joy, and hope. Tell someone about Jesus, and share the good news.
Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
Be an all-season Christian and not a "some-a-time" child of God.
